Blending historical themes with creative elements, Wealth and War has a wide range of development possibilities. Each faction or nation has unique dynamics combining with player's decisions, the game aims to provide different gameplay experiences. Inspiration Sources

  • Total War Franchise: Known for its unique blend of turn-based campaign management and real-time tactical battles, featuring a vast roster of military units. However, the series places limited emphasis on economic development. Based on personal gameplay experience, city-building lacks variety and depth—most cities follow similar development paths, and even in latest titles like Total War: Three Kingdoms or Total War: Warhammer III, infrastructure reforms are minimal and offer limited strategic divergence.
  • Civilization Franchise: While renowned for its global scope and turn-based strategic depth, the series often relies on a shared tech tree and a limited range of unique buildings. This design choice causes many factions to feel mechanically similar, particularly in city building and development paths. The terrain on each hexagon tile can be modified, the single-terrain system keeps the development simple - but ultimately predictable. The military element faces the same problem, with a similar structure and minimal variety in gameplay.
  • Asian historical events: While many games are set in Asia, the region still offers numerous underexplored time periods. Titles like Total War focus on the Three Kingdoms era rather than the earlier Warring States, and Age of Empires IV only briefly touches on the depth of the Mongol Empire. Southeast Asian nations such as Vietnam or Champa also present rich opportunities.
